Ive been to one you ain't been to Gzira Stadium in Malta I watched a Maltese team win a European game againsr Oporto from Portugal,I got there early and a team from Leicester were playing a local team, and they asked me if I wanted a game.As the pitch was hard sand and it was about 90 degrees I declined the offer.
If you knew what I know,we would both be in trouble!

I used to go to many of the home games of Borussia Dortmund when I was stationed in Dortmund from 1964 - 67 in their old stadium and even saw them beat the other team I support West Ham. 1966 semi final of Cup Winners Cup.

i remember that tie, they beat us 5 -2 on aggregate and then went on to beat liverpool in the final.
they played two wingers, siggy held and lothar emmerich who then went on to play for west germany in the world cup a few months later.

yes vic a great game
WELLING 0
DOVER 1
Dover dominated much of the game, and have to say the times Welling did break away the Dover goalkeeper mopped everything up.
Dover are playing with a lot more confidence these days.
having got to half time 0-o it looked good for a point although Dover had many chances.
The Welling back going off injured made a big impact and weakened the welling back line.
He was far there best player at the back.
In the second half after end to end play Dover scored through Southall Welling then pressed forward but never realy had the finishing touch, and The Dover keeper again outstanding.
After a 20 minute spell of welling pressure Dover again pushed forward, and missed a few sitters.
but it ended with Dover getting the 3 points and staying second
after chelmsford who were third could only draw today.
Dover a lot more confident going towards the play offs
and to get a home tie need to stay up there.

good news again, i saw a coach going down the folkestone road about 11am marked "dover supporters club", obviously heading for crabble.
what with dover peaking at the right time, will the england side do the same in south africa?

At home to Weymouth this weekend, and I'm looking forward to being there, if I can get back from Kent Uni in time. Will look out for our Keith and Vic in the cheap seats if I make it.
