DOVER 2 WEYMOUTH 0
Dover scored in the 7th minute after a lot of play through Southall and continued to dominate the game.
It became clear why weymouth are at the foot of the table and suffering both financially and the running of the club on the players side.
Weymouth were one of the poorest sides that have visited crabble, but for the weymouth young keeper Dover would have had a landslide.
Dover dominated most of the 90 minutes hitting the post 3 times and the crossbar, plus numerous other chances.
But it was a good 3 points, and keeps Dover up there in the play offs

PS'; Don't tell anhyone that Dover scored there 2nd in the 91st minute and VIC had already left.

does it really matter about the performance keith?
we hear on the box all the time, managers saying that the result is everything at this time of the season.

HOWARD
It's fair to say you are correct, and HESSALTILER has indicated that it's results that matter now, not how the 3 points are won, he did add it might not be crowd pleasing, but most importantly(in his opinion)its the play off's the club is aimimg for.
Just on yesterdays game, WEYMOUTH were poor, the keeper although very young kept Dover at bay, I suppose we all expect to much sometimes when we see a very below avarage side visit crabble.
I'm sure weymouth with youth on side and a few experienced in there numbers will bounce back in time, as the last thing we want is to see another club go under through finance.
I don't know the in's and out's of Weymouth fc but a few years back a lot of dosh was flowing through the club, they were even on TV
It appears the money has gone, players not been paid, even rumoured theres been a players strike, refusing to play until paid, thus why so many youngsters in the side.
I hope even with relegation they can rebuild and more importantly keep the club going.
On Dover 2nd in league 2 points ahead of chelmsford who have a game in hand, but it is looking good, pressure is on the other clubs to keep in the play off's
looking good for DOVER

there was a programme on weymouth a year or two back, a local businessman and lifelong fan had bought the club to save them from folding, he appointed steve claridge as manager as he had been a big player for the club at the beginning of his career.
problem was claridge had never managed at any level before.
Weymouth did exceedingly well under Steve Claridge, but then the money ran out. The lifelong fan took the club almost to extinction and through about 5 managers in as many minutes. A new consortium now back Weymouth FC and it is hoped, by all non-League fans, they can rebuild.
