06:4430499I think it would be much more impressive and interesting for residents and visitors if we had either these photos blown-up or photos of our historic sites and attractions or our closed down shops.
The painting outside the Strand in Deal (photo above), is just that, a painting and being a cultural philistine, to me it is uninspiring.

The photos above of St Helier were taken on my sons phone so please excuse poor quality but theblack and white photos are actually in each pane of an unused window.
Dover could perhaps have an artistic impressions of what the proposed town centre and seafront will look like after the regeneration. It may go some way to explain to visitors why the town is in a state of flux and no mans land at present.

It's the principle of what we should do with the closed down shops until someone comes along and wants to open one of them that's important to the look and feel of the Town.

16:2830661A reply from Dover Pride which I am sure they won't mind me posting:
"Still working on exactly how the gallery will select what it shows, but have been thinking about how we get local images in there, and I'll add historic images to that thought."
Been nice knowing you :)
