All that beautiful football Spain played and they win the game with a goal that was made in England, a cross and a big centre half powering in a bullet header. I wonder how long on Sunday before Van Bommell starts kicking lumps off the Spanish ball players? he has done it all tournament and eventually got booked for kicking the ball away! he has led a charmed life. Should be a cracking final, two excellent teams with Spain probably just favourites.

interesting that our own howard webb and 2 other english chaps will be referee and assistants in the final on sunday.
cannot get used the word asssistants, being old fashioned i still call them linespersons.
this follows on from then officiating at the champions league final, although webb was sent home from the last european championships over a couple of debatable decisions in a match between austria and poland.

They'll have to rewrite the classic country & western song, 'I was a linesman for Notts County'

brilliant stuff barry, glosses over the fact that brian and sid are suggesting that the ladies that run the line in matches today in the football league are harbouring meat and two veg under their ill fitting shorts.
