I`ve been asked by a close family freind if anyone knows of any large field`s in Dover where dogs are permitted for a good runabout. A freindly pair of spaniel`s. Thanks.

High Meadow across to Whinless Down up behind Tower Hamlets/Elms Vale is very dog friendly, we take our dogs there almost every day.

If we fancy a change we do Kearsney Abbey (only one side of the water though - on the side with the cafe they have to be on the lead) or Connaught Park.
Hope that helps!

Kearsney Abbey has good area for dogs off the lead, and on the lead you can use the public toilets and cafe. Cooked food served up until about 1430hrs. Over the road is Bushy Ruff where dogs can have a good run too.
Alternatively, the fields next to Temple Ewell are excellent for walking and dog running. Park next to the old pub and walk up the footpath into the huge glorious fields. No amenities here though.
Whichever you fancy, remember to take the poop bags.

Never mind the dogs, think I`ll have a run up there instead.

No problem Colin. This has been very helpful to me too as I have learned a new dog walk too from Sid!
Here's a couple of pics of our doggies having a good run about!

Excellent one here at Eythorne, Colin - 4 mile circuit all in the same field, takes about 45 mins. Give me a tinkle on 07740 - 287155 if you want the exact location.
True friends stab you in the front.

There is also Shakespeare Cliff. I went up there on the longest day and had the whole place to myself and the mutt.
Park the car in Aycliff, or take the bus, near to the footbridge over the A20, over said footbridge, throughg the gate and there you are. The place is fenced top and bottom, so safe from cars, and 99% safe from the cliff edge. Plenty of space for the dog to run about in too, plus fantastic views.

Sid, it was your picture posted on another thread which prompted me to go up those cliffs and start that other thread regarding the above.

lol! Rick, thanks all, lots of ideas there, I must confess I only take Fifi to Connaught Park and down to the Seafront so I must try a few of these places to give her and me some variety

Collette, does Mr Posh know you call him Fifi on DF?
Four legged crappers. For God's sake either move into the countryside (where I was brought up with dogs) or buy goldfish. I'm serious.

Can't take a goldfish for a walk though Bob, they struggle like an asthmatic for breath.
