I hope it is nothing too serious, there are still sirens going so more emergency vehicles still arriving.
It is not the block next to the school, possibly Mayfield to the left where the fire engine is.

I just hope all got out in time,and still they talk about cuting back the fire service we get alot of house fire in Dover and need the fire service 24/7 in and around the District.

That looks absolutely awful the poor home owners, immediate neighbours are bound to be affected either by the fire directly or just worry they might be.

No flames now, fire brigade are pumping water from the river.
Barton Road closed at Cherry Tree, all traffic being sent down Cherry Tree Avenue.
It would be a good idea to reverse the direction of Balfour Road to enable cars to bypass Barton Road.

My daughter saw a couple of firemen (possibly going back to the fire station) who were absolutely filthy and their faces were black while on her way home from Morrisons.

I feel so sorry to the owners ,but not alot we can say or even do to help them at this time ,but have to wait to see what happens over the next week.

Something needs to be done today with regards to making the structures safe. If we are in for a battering from high winds, the dangers of flying roof-tiles etc. will be greatly increased at all four of these properties.
