14:3731910Watching the news last night on the BBC I was surprised to hear them refer to the EU Navy in the operation against Somali pirates.
A little investigation this morning shows that it was the Royal Navy to which they refer. Apparently other news organisation kept the Union Flag flying.
The BBC has previously admitted its 'hideous pro-EU bias' in breach of its Charter and this is another demonstration of that. Perhaps the Beeb itself should be renamed EUBC.
This though is the shape of things to come if the Brussels dictatorship have their way. The Lisbon Treaty paves the way with its permanent President, its Foreign affairs spokesman and the subservience of British foreign policy to the EU. After all why would we need any 'British Armed Forces' at all if we cannot have our own Foreign policy?
There is a huge job for the hopefully 'soon to be' Cameron Government to stop the march of the EU Soviet Superstate and to reclaim the Royal Navy for ourselves.

18:2031943An E.U. navy took over, the Argentines would do a second invasion of the Falklands, but this time they`d win it.

19:0231955Thanks Barry - I've read that link and there are some serious points made.
I liked the "Brown's Navy Cuts" picture.
Heaven save us from a Blair President.

19:0931957Just a small point to make from one who's daughter has recently completed a 6 month tour chasing pirates. Her ship was part of the EU task force consisting of many ships from EU countries. And just a boast from a proud dad yesterday she was promoted to the rank of petty officer.

22:0531982when i heard the term "EU navy" on the news, i assumed it was a joint action with other member states.
i suspect most other people thought the same.

22:1631984Brian - it depends on whether you support an EU superstate and whether you trust that body to look after British interests, I dont....
I am certain that if the developments you support were to have taken place we would never have reclaimed the Falkland Islands.

22:4931987would have been more complicated with our french friends selling hardware to argentina.

22:5231988I don't see an EU Taskforce as a threat to anything.
We obviously have a common interest in protecting the seas from pirates.
Surely we are stronger together.

22:5631990i don't think that the EU task force is a problem, just an EU navy.

08:1931993Is it not right that there is an EU Taskforce with other members of the EU doing their bit, why should it always be our armed forces that take on other parts of the world?
There will always be a Royal Navy
and surly the BBC just slipped up with calling it EU Navy instead of EU Taskforce.
Congratulations to your Daughter Guzzler.
