Yes although I have to get a return from some of the acts we can now say that the show will be a 370 seat sell out,we are reduced by 100 young people in the show as acts and 30 helpers.
So if you haven't got your ticket then I am sorry but I did say get them early,to the rest of you see you there,

A great evening of entertainment and fund-raising.
The young people who entertained us all were amazing, especially the very youngest, to get up on stage in front of every one, takes courage and confidence.
A great idea carried through to fruition; it was lovely to hear that poem/piece about the soldiers at the airport, read out again, very moving.
Well done John, well done the other organisers and every one involved.
Roger
I was as usual unable to attend, but I also want to give a cheer for the organisers! It goes to show what people can achieve with the determination and organisation.

Thanks everyone yes it was a brilliant evening and was only a success because of the hard work by everyone, the youngsters were amazing and their leaders/coaches worked them hard and some of those young people had been in there since 3pm,my team were the best ever,Terry Terri Sheli Ian Melissa Mandi are all forumites, but threre were others and Andrew Martyn my back stage manager who is only about 20 was the real star along with others who are not on here.
H4H is the in charity and by using Dover Youngsters made it not only easier but gained more support,we actually had to turn people away which I didn't like doing but there should have only been 370 tickets available as we had 100 youngsters in the show and 30 helpers.Somehow we seemed to top that number!
Apart from raising money for H4H,I wanted to showcase the youngster of Dover to show how much talent we really have, and youngsters tend to get a bad press and sometimes rightly but lets tell the Town we have got some brilliant youngsters as well and be PROUD of our young people.
Roger yes you knew I wanted that story to be read out and although it didn't fit the story by having a soldier read it out,it was because the soldier read it out and the words that I added also the Bugler that made our tribute short and dramatic and I did see people with tears in their eyes.
The people of Dover also get a bad press for not supporting things but again last night proved that is not the case, they were there.....last thoughts....
I was asked when the next show would be.....the show takes me 5-6 months to pull together and I have been working on it since the Richard Digance show in September but if my team will help me again I don't see any reason not to do it again.....actually watch this space,Dover's Got Young Talent 2011...I have got this idea....oh not again..
If you knew what I know,we would both be in trouble!

Last Night was fab! The Young Talent in Dover is astounding. I echo John's sentiment about the youngsters in Dover, I think not only did last night highlight their talents but also the variety of Clubs in Dover which our young people can join and be part of.
Well Done All I am certain a great deal of money was raised.

on the subject of money the show cost approx at the moment £898 to provide for the Town Hall Sound and Lighting (this is the real difference because they are profesional and make the sound and the lighting like a 'proper' show) Programmes and tickets.
The money to pay for this came as a grant from Dover Town Council £500 and sponsors and advertiser £370,so before tickets sales the cost of the evening was in fact -£28,this will be found by DoverLive.
So I can say that every penny spent last night apart from your refreshments went to H4H,the sponsors and advertisers also received free tickets as they had already put in some money so they got a good deal as well.
We also had a minibus for those who needed it from A2Z minibuses as well as the help and goodwill of the team and the acts and helpers.I have been complimented on our finale but those there may have spotted the finale song went out of the show as the CD wouldn't work, and our little surprise of the Bugler from Dover Sea Cadets and our secret weapon the service personnel reading our story and with the collection buckets which were so heavy, thanks for Terri for arranging them you can tell them they were stars Terri.Michelle (Sheli was a star with the Carnival Court on the raffle)
If you knew what I know,we would both be in trouble!

What a fantastic night! Well Done to John and all who worked so hard putting together a truly stupendous show and raising so much money for Help 4 Heroes. The young star's of Dover gave us a most wonderful entertaining evening with song and dance aplenty, I've been humming the tunes and dancing around the house ever since, it does wonders for the soul

I have now managed to get all ColetteB's pictures up and running on the frontpage, Colette also wrote a report on the night which is also there and I cobbled together a few captions from afar to complete the package on a great night.
Well done again Cllr John Goodwin. Anyone who does community stuff over and above the ordinary should be recognised.
