Marek, not offended one jot. Sitting here saying to myself, "bloody right"!
I am tired of Alexanders offensive racist postings based on prejudice and no knowledge of the subject matter.
I have worked and lived in many countries around the world and even in 'bottom of the pile" nations in Africa they speak more languages than most of us Brits do. It's FACT.
In Belgium, for example, most locals speak 3, yes that's right, 3 languages by the tume they go to senior school, where they are expected to become proficient in another 2. Most well educated Belgians therefore speak a minimum of 5 languages. Most Brits struggle with English for heaven's sake.
Work in Poland? Yes, even before they joined the EU I had a call centre there, where all the staff spoke English and Polish. We also had British call centre managers and team leaders for the first few months. As for the IT industry, there are plenty of jobs for Brits in Poland, no problem.
It's time to put a stop to Alexanders racist rantings please!

Brian, I know Poland is an eastern european country mate, I was merely mentioning that Poland wasn`t actually mentioned on this thread, as opposed to making a general posting on it. I`m flying my neutral flag here. While on the subject of Poles though, having had a big interest in WW2 over many years, I`ve always found it one of the dark sides of British history that they were excluded from parading on V.E. day, despite the fact that they took part in aerial combat, commando raids amongst other things.

Marek, your rear is safe in my hands.

Colin, maybe it was thought allowing the Poles to parade would offend Stalin?

Stalin executed most Polish Naval,Air Force and Army officers that Churchill repatriated after the war.Even my old fellow saw the writing on the wall after the war and out of the 23 from his squad that returned home (Poland) only one survived the slaughter,Henryk Romeko whom I had the honour to meet in 1960.

Very sad that Marek, and let`s remember also all those Polish officer`s and men who Stalin had murdered in that forest in Poland, which the advancing germans found. Stalin was nothing short of a mass murderer.
