I can't find the bleedin' thing. Arrgh!
I found the space where the spare used to be released from. Not hiding in there.

The next thing has to be a phone call to the fellow you bought the car from. I have noticed that, as long as you are willing to take a blood test or retinal scan, replacement keys are available...for as little as £35-£40, but one place mentioned in the link I gave earlier would do it by post for nearer £20.

Halfords have a gizmo for about £20. Otherwise you could contact the tyre people recommended elsewhere on the forum recently.

Are you sure that locking nuts are factory fitted on that model Gary. Quite often they're retro fitted by the owner.

Perry's parts department are going to have a look and see if they have a fitting master key to get the number and order me a new one. Funny how the servicing department didn't suggest that earlier...

Yahoo, sorted!
The nice man in the parts department took his case of master keys out to my car. Tried a few on the wheel nut and bravo, found the appropriate number. I now have a Wheel Locking Kit containing my key and 4 spare bolts.
Total cost £35...
His desk was right next to the Servcing lady who had told me earlier that I would have to have them off at a cost of £54, plus a set of new ones for £40.

Does the service counter have a clear view of who is coming?
