In principle it is supposed to reflect the level of risk posed to society, and if that were the yardstick prison would be predominantly for people who commit crimes of violence and pose a risk. And the level of risk would be reflected in the sentencing. And some would never get out. Result.

judging by the sentence he got, the judge must have thought it appeared by chance and he had to defend himself.
maybe after bankers, mps and lords we should go after the judiciary?
just another bunch that live in a diffrent world to the general population.

I couldn't agree more with your last line Howard, so true - there's no protection from the judiciary at all and I thought they had a responsibility of care - for all of us.
Truth and justice are not important considerations in the legal process.
