Dear All
First let me apologise for not making contact sooner but until today i have been disconnected and boy is it painful!!
Very many thanks to Colette, Linda and David for hosting such a terrific party on such a dreadful night. Croc was in his element as the rain poured down, mainly over his shoulders when one bright spark decided to empty the water on the roof of the gazebo without first checking who was underneath.
Paul and Jan were busy taking photos and making notes in the hope that the drink would loosen tongues and that Big David would say something that he would regret in the morning. I must have said plenty but luckily none of it was intelligable or printable.
Mandie provided the entertainment by deciding to show the new dover carnival court the correct method in descending stairs..... BUM FIRST
Luckily there was no damage to the staircase.
Guzzler and Humph i have not forgotten and will post the recipe for my galumpki just as soon as we have settled.
It was great to see Keef and Phil in attendance. Posh Barry made a dramatic entrance jus as the champagne toast was being made.... how appropriate.
A real BIG thank you goes to the new dover carnival court girls that braved an horrendous evening in order to say farewell to Marites and Natascha. Well Done girls.
I hope i havent missed anyone out that attended but it really was a super evening.
Arrived in Jersey safe and sound after a 3.5 hr ride on the VomitComet. Just about managed to slide down a couple of drinks (for medicinal purposes) in order to settle my tum.
Natascha had her first day at school on monday and appears to have already made freinds and is attending the school disco on Friday. The weather has been scorching since we arrived and we all look like lobsters (except marites of course).
St. Helier is bustling and a hive of activity, the economic downturn certainly does not appear to have affected the High Street, the pubs or eating houses.
I hope to post some photos as soon as i get time.
Regards to all will post again soon.
