Maybe they can Brian, but it still needs someone to run with it.

19:0167451 Not many on the beach this morning in Deal. This was much more interesting though.
Tell them that I came, and no one answered.

19:0867452 Without repeating any rubbishy media sensationalism, does anyone know if the current storms are unusual for this time of year? I confess to not always taking notes of weather situation`s over the year`s. A picture above from Deal beach this morning.

19:2367456great photos colin, not unusual to have seas like that in august, a couple of years back we had warnings here in dover over an unusually high tide due coupled with strong winds.
i went down to the beach but did not get the anticipated shots.

22:3767532Howard, you need to go to either a bar or a hospital if you want shots mate. You only get shingles on Dover beach!

12:4567760And very nice they were too, a nice change from jugged hare or pigeon breasts served on pancakes marinated in Grand Mariner

17:2967791Do we really have to keep hearing how good Deal is in comparisson with Dover.
Deal will always look better because of it's layout, as I have said before. I think the area is more affluent so people have more money to spend.
Why must we always run Dover down when we are talking about it?
Yes it has it's faults but what town doesn't.

18:3067817We just had a couple of friends from Essex staying for the week. They absolutely loved it here. We took them round to show them the views and the town etc but kept away from the castle because they had already been there when they stayed at the South Goodwin lighthouse last year. We had most of our meals out and the whole visit was great. Unfortunately they couldn't get into a Dover hotel - because they were all booked up!! Surely that says something! They can't wait to come again

There's always a little truth behind every "Just kidding", a little emotion behind every "I don't care" and a little pain behind every "I'm ok".

18:3667822#35. Jan, I do mention Deal on here a bit, the reason being, Dover is okay but I can`t always find fresh material, but as I don`t know much about politics, I scout round elsewhere to hopefully find interesting topics to place on the forum. Anything that might be interesting, as opposed to tv chat show type stuff!

18:4667827I like Deal it just annoys me when people keep saying how nice the place is and then run Dover down. I love your pictures (even Deal) they brighten the threads up, the written word can be deadly dull.
With respect to those here involved I hate politics the cause too many arguements and I do not mean debates.

Politics is a

for me.
