I take it that this is the new WCMC? Although I get everything but the actual web-address cited on the notice board there does seem to have been one such for many years.
Ignorance is bliss, bliss is happiness, I am happy...to draw your attention to the possible connectivity in the foregoing.

why did they open the pharmacy when it was public knowledge that the new medical centre would have one built in?

The new medical centre is running behind due to BT not getting the phone lines in on time. It was supposed to open last Tuesday. I had to go to the Cherry Tree surgery instead. It should be open in a week or so according to the receptionist.
Re post #7 - Keith, why do you say the medical centre "not surprizingly has decided not to honour it"? Seems rather harsh.
I think we are all guinea pigs in the middle of an experiment for which they have forgotten to set up a control group!

The medical centre asked the chemist to name thier price so they could close it,I know because I know someone working at the one that is opened!
If you knew what I know,we would both be in trouble!

if you are a custermer of that particular surgery you use that pharmency rather than down to one of the others, now wouldnt you.

So what exactly do the public get with a new medical centre?
Saturday opening, late evening services, 24-7 home visits, full NHS dental services.
Phone and booking over 7 days.
I think not, it will be phoning on the morning take your chances on getting in.
8 to 6 opening, expensive lavish oak offices air con and top designer lighting.
Just what the public sector have become to expect.

until a year or less ago there was no pharmacy in the ward so people were used to going into town for their prescriptions, additionally people have their favourite, mine is the one in pencester road and i will continue to use them.
