So why didn't, couldn't or wouldn't the Home Secretary do anything about immigration numbers whilst almost everyone I hear talking about the subject claims 'Wot they should do is' ?
Let's ask Suella :-

Don't worry Captain as Neil told us the grown ups are back in charge.

And stopping the boats 'upstream' turned into a jolly up the Tigris and handing out hundreds of thousands of pounds to a country which ranks ranks 154 out of 180 countries on the 'corruption index'.

UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer just admitted that Western leaders have been running an “open borders experiment”…
"This happened by design, not accident. Immigration policies were reformed deliberately. It has been a failure. They pretended it wasn’t happening.”

Across Europe open borders was never a good idea. It allowed far to many undesirables, as well as the genuine hard working badly needed immigrants so was doomed for failure.
I think the open borders policy was the main reason this country voted to leave the EU.

In just four years we imported an entire city, larger than Coventry, consisting completely of Nigerians.
Not Africans in general. Just purely Nigerians.

STOP THE BOATS - LATEST - More than 20,000 people have crossed Channel in small boats since Labour won election.
N.B. In relation to the 600 Brazilians 'deported'
1. This isn’t a secret.
2. These were voluntary departures (not deportations) at up to £3k per person. Flying home for Christmas at our expense.

£3,000 is probably a lot cheaper than keeping them in this country unless they are earners, they should not be allowed back here for at least ten years even as genuine asylum seekers.
With regard to those who enter by the small boats. The vast majority are simply here because they fancy our way of life. they should be returned to France as that is from where they sailed, unfortunately the French do not want them back. Once in the EU the genuine asylum seeker should use the official system even if it is extremely slow and under funded.

Here's Dominic Cummings dropping a couple of truth bombs ( from 57.55 to 1.04.50 roughly).
And if you think he's far fetched - Remember the way everyone started calling illegal immigrants - 'migrants'?
He's good on the defence budget and drones too at 38.00 onwards.

Looks like Holland ' gets it'?
Netherlands plans to cap its population: Government backs 'toughest ever measures' on immigration to keep population under 20million - but citizens will have to 'work longer hours and retire later'

Extraordinary! Nigerians of all people! I always found them to be totally trustworthy as a nation when the WT from Lagos arrived at Tn3.

Once when I was out late at night in Lagos in the 70's, going back to my ship with some other crew, the police stopped us, demanded our wallets and nicked all our money! Then they got back in their car and drove off..... (trustworthy as a nation??)
