07:585865I heard a piece on one of the local radio stations yesterday, and I quote :A young lady was in the park with her young children, evidently she had cause to complain to some young teens about their behaviour in the park, with this, they surrounded her and racially abused her and her children.when she finally managed to get through to the police (three calls was mentioned) a lone wpc was sent, but of course the yobs had gone:I find this sort of thing totally reprehensible and more should be done to police the area, certainly at times when it is in use at busy times i.e.weekends.

Totally agree. This thread is full of similar reports. What use are Coppers' PCSO's and CCTV's if we don't maximise their potential and use them. I feel sorry for that young lady.

14:035882I walked past the other day, a school day so it was fairly quiet, and there were two police men and one WPC all together in the playground. I crept past very quietly in case I startled them and they ran off.
Politics, it seems to me, for years, or all too long, has been concerned with right or left instead of right or wrong.

08:176378I read the article in the local paper (front page) on friday while I was sitting in Pencester waiting for my bus home, and what did I see ? 2 teenage girls straight in there on the swing smoking away.Fair makes your blood boil. Also I noticed the zip slide was broken, anyone know what happened to that? Oh for the days of the old fashioned Parkie.
