yet again, victer has been proved right.
whatever he says gets misunderstood or ridiculed, i keep thinking about that chap from 2000 years ago
that met a premature end.
i suppose that we all have a cross to bear.

Give Vic credit , he was right & I am grateful that he told me many months ago & how he knew. Regretably we can't always tell you what is going on behind the scenes because of commercial confidentiality & giving spoilers the opportunity to foul up schemes.

Well I'm not too big to apologise. Vic I'm sorry I doubted you about Morrisons - you were right all along. I DON'T agree about your spelling of Dover and it annoys me intensely when you keep on about it, but as you say, you have done a lot of good things in our town, for which I thank you.
I hope you'll accept my apology.

Jacqui , I will be visiting the source of Vic's info on Monday, at Vic's instigation.
The Morrison's saga has been a story of subterfuge , misinformation & commercial poker [not by Morrison's]. It has many links to other schemes. There are interesting games being played in the food retail sector at present & not by the obvious players. I'll leave the story there. That is why we are not responding to some of comments made here at present.

Thank you all for that I do feel better now about things, and thank you Mr Watkins for what you are doing on Monday, only wish I could be there but I am working up on the Island of Grain, but I must say that is not how I found out about Morrisons but will tell you next time I see you.And I am sorry if I upset some you, but I am to old to change now.
But I have worked with some great folk this year with puting on events and thank you so much for that.I was hopeing this year to bring to our town one of the best bands in the world and some of you worked with me over alot of weeks to make that happen, this did no come about and again some of you know what happen and I asked you not to tell about it because it was very upseting at the time for me and some others as well, andas you know it took some time to get over it all and you help me to do just that so thank you for that as well.

alternatively like a F**t that follows one around the room.

i did ask a straight forward question, it would have been simpler if you had just named the band.

Howard, I think you went over the top with that one,but as you asked the question the name of the band was Status Quo and that is all I have to say about it.

I can honestly say that I for one, have objected to the amount of development on the Westmount site, I also know that the Town Council have also objected,, the plans look as though they are intending to make it look like a mini estate, TO much development, half the flats and houses that have been converted or built just recently, that were supposed to be sold are now going up for rent, the amount of buildings are starting to pull the area down again.
Before they start to build they have to re-home the badger sets, that are present also slow worms, a bat, plus protected plant life, and the plans have not even said anything about the tunnels that lay behind, another point the plans mention is drainage, according to them no risk of flooding, where do these people live, who state these things, Westmount will not flood, but the Folkestone Road certainly will.

Vic, I can turn a blind eye to some of your comments and ideas but I can't have you saying Status Quo are 'one of the best bands in the world' That's just crazy talk!

A report is given with the plans, but there have always been badgers there, plus the foxes, there are 2 sets on Westmount, and more on the customs site, the conversion of the house at Westmount, is to have a flat roof, and an extension built on the back, I do hope they turn these plans down, we have no infrastucture in this area to accomondate this amount of development
