20:3611895a bbc opinion poll asked the great british public how thet would vote if there was a referendum to join the euro.
71% said that they would vote against.
i thought that considering the weakness of sterling against the said currency, that people might think that the grass might be greener there, anyway, enough of cliches.
what do the team think?

are you trying to nick the job in the cabinet that paul the fuehrer offered to me earlier?
i supposed that we could both stand for election to high office, i suspect that our combined vote would equate to less than 10% of what victor gets.

apparently i made a wrong career move.
the champagne lifestyle is more prevalent at town council level.
at district one can expect a sausage roll from the tesco "no frills" range and a can of budget vimto to wash it down with.

15:5011945Glad to hear that result.
I'm sure that a lot of people only see the Euro/Pound isue as a holiday thing about changing pounds for Euros.
I agree with you there John.
I hear that the (expert) view is that the Euro will be killed off in less than 20 years and countries will revert back to their own currencies.

i have heard some incredible comments from people about the benefits of joining the euro.
that bloke who runs the virgin empire reckoned we should join as it makes life simpler not having to change money up.
the best will always be, when sitting on a p & o ferry during the days when everyone went on board to buy their booze and fags.
the barrack room lawyer in the bar pronounced that we should join the euro, because we would then pay "their" prices.
before i had a chance to laugh, there was a chorus of yes, right and all, here here etc.
i was considering trying to explain that "their" amounted to many countries that had vastly different prices for each commodity, then thought about the malt whiskey in my hold all, concentrated on that instead.
i have never heard a rational and/or logistical reason for joining.

23:1611975Howard - Vimto is cool - just slosh some voddy into it, perks it up no end!! As I have not spellchecked this, it may or may not be evident that I am doing so as we speak....!

08:0411987Like most other important things Guz - we can't be counted on to make the right (the Government's) decision - their view is, we don't have the intelligence to make this decision.
