That idea has been mooted many times over the years Darren but would be termed illegal as money raised with such a levy has to go to central government where it just disappears into a big pot. KCC were lobbying government over the newish charge on trucks entering the country, wanting it spent on the roads in Kent that suffer the effects, doubt if they will get anywhere though.

I've been told by a KCC councillor that the material used for pothole repairs has been changed recently, and is causing problems that didn't happen with the old mix.

I noticed this morning that most of those on the A2 between the Shepherdswell and Barham turnings have been patched but those on the approach to the Whitfield roundabout still need attention.

Nearly £1.5m to be spent repairing 27792 pot holes in Kent. I would have thought that there were that many in the Dover area alone.

I see that the potholes at the bottom of Queen Street have been filled. Yippee!

That money won't go far over the roads of a big county like Kent. Took these earlier outside the front.

When councils ignore their responsibilities they can reasonably expect to be lampooned.

If the pot holes get repaired the spray painter will have achieved what repeated requests from others have failed to do.

I don't agree there are better ways of dealing with problems Why make Dover even more tacky.I was one of those Mothers who did not allow her children to draw hopscotch on the pavement. If someone does graphite on walls we soon cry out vandals.
On a lighter note why a males body parts ?Perhapsit was a selfie.

This was filled in less than a year ago, I do wonder at the quality of materials used.

The yellow lines are still hanging on Howard, perhaps they should have filled it with the lining paint!

Nice to see the road leading to Stembrook car park being resurfaced today. Was some seriously big pot holes round there.Caught one there in the car a few weeks ago and it almost stopped me dead, luckily no damage done that time.

£.420,000 000 made available to local authorities immediately to deal with potholes, sounds good but over the entire country we will have to wait and see how it works out.
