Glad you're back and hope you had a super break. Your views, opinions are always welcome and enjoyable..whether I agree with them all is a different 'kettle of fish'.

17:3666336good to see you on here paul, i heard about your sojourn to the land of paella and chips and that you enjoyed the culture of the iberian penininsula.
i certainly do not believe that rumour about you getting rather brahms and tipping our german friends off of their sunbeds and into the pool.

18:0166343Don't advertise my hol. dates for obvious reasons!!!
Interesting watching the different nationalities change on the Costa's.
Mainly Spanish where we visit normally.
We drive down with the grandsons and the dog.
Having done this journey for nearly 30 years [with my daughters before the grandsons and dog] we have never had such a horrendous journey there and back for 20 years.
The motorways were packed from Dijon -Tarragona; mainly Dutch, and Belgians.
That is a change from Germans and Swiss.
The French were prominent in France [obviously] heading South but certainly predominated once we crossed the Spanish border.
Interesting watching.
Shows not only European economic & holiday fashion trends but also the significance of flight difficulties.
P & O were packed both ways.

18:2766347quite right about holiday dates paul, especially for those in the telephone directory.
why is it that the french always holiday at home.?
go to paris in the first weekend in august all you see is the back of cars leaving for the south and cafes and bars being boarded up.
