11:2832088Left home this morning to find some 'expletive deleted' moron has vandalised my car wing mirror. Definately not an accident, was the kerbside mirror, and must had a lot of deliberate force applied to do the damage it did.
A lethal injection is all such useless, worthless parasites deserve. They are a waste of the air they breathe and provide a convincing case for euthenasia.
Its not just that it costs me at least £100 (my excess) its the inconvenience and trouble it causes that is the biggest cost.

11:4332092Yes great shame, these things seem to go hand in hand with friday and saturday night and are fuelled by the demon drink. It might be nothing more than someone merrily fancied kicking it in true footballer mode while making his inebriated way homeward. Although I say 'him' but it might just as easily be a female nowadays the way things are going.
Clearly there is no way to stop this kind of thing. There are no penalties for the perps and therefore no inhibitions.

12:0832093I'm sorry to hear this, Barry. We had someone throw stones at one of our windows recently. It broke the pane, and of course we had to pay to mend it.
Also, the saddle and post was stolen from my daughter's bicycle, and it could only have been a fellow student at her university who has done so. The bike was a special one, bought on student's disability, because she has limited mobility, and replacement posts are not easy to get. Now my daughter is really struggling to get to her lectures, her illness has been exacerbated, and her work is affected. To say we're angry with the thief would be an understatement.
I just wish people would have more consideration for others.

12:2432096we had an outbreak of that a while back in clarendon place, 6 or more wing mirrors broken off late at night.
just another symptom of the binge drinking culture that ruins friday and saturday nights out.

13:1932102We have had several low-level incidents like that, and each one costs on insurance and repairs and time and effort. My aerial and wing mirrors have all been broken at different times, and some little slug smashed the car windows just to nick the tax disc. I was listening to the radio in the car yesterday, an article following on from that poor woman and her daughter being found dead intheir car following years of bullying and no consequences: there were many more who had suffered and been let down, one poor girl bullied mercilessly by one little ape at her school to the point of the family having to leave the town. What did the girl get? A slap on the wrist in effect - a pre- asbo (twice) and a bit of a telling off. The Housing association and police then critisised the family for not reporting the incidents after the first 5 years of reporting and no action - the family said they had given up and were moving. I have nothing to add to that apart from a few more of those expletives, Barry!!!

16:3832108Didn't you buy a new car recently Barry ?
I don't know whether it is just a Friday or Saturday evening, but my wing-mirror was deliberately broken by some A.H. and they cost a lot of money to replace (the wing-mirror, not the A.H. !); even on an oldish car like mine, the mirror alone is £286, then plus vat and fitting.
I would never promote the idea, but you can understand how these vigilante guys start, to clear up their neighbourhoods.

17:1032111didn,t see anything as I cycled by at 5.30 am Barry, problem is you are too close to the Town Centre and all the associated drunks but that is not an excuse.
In the week a car with 4 youngsters passed me by the Eagle lights,as the car stopped a plastic bottle half full came out of the window into the gutter and stopped right in front of my bike.
So I picked it up and said to the lad who threw it out of the window, you dropped this so I will give it back. The horror on his face so as the traffic started to move he threw it back but this time at me,I stopped picked up and took the car number then put in a bin for him.
If you knew what I know,we would both be in trouble!

17:3932116Wherever you live it is the same - we live near Connaught Park, not too far from the CopShop, near loads of schools, quiet, leafy, but still prone to car crime and eejits.

18:1132124That's awful Barry, dreadful to think the little sh*ts will never be caught. It must have been a right night for it last night - here's a pleasant and attractive mural I found on the dentists at Beaconsfield Road this morning. I doubt if the culprits will ever be caught either.
