And, Rick, if the majority do not want the ferry whatever their reaons, isn't that democracy? To impose it on them,isn't that defying democracy?

noticed some posters getting into the personals again sad realy, just a point of view I have.
Ok so the prison may not have been the best example, just showing a bit of people power.
but moving back to the subject in hand as BERN says it could have been a number of reasons/subjects why these ferries shouldnt run.
Democracy is a great thing, but it appears from some posters that even though the majority is against it and live there, we are happy to impose it.
Thats the bit im not following.
On the p;ersonal comments made by jacqui i will ignore them
but as iv said time and time again I respect everyones view to post even those i disagree with!!!

try not to get confused here, the only reason the ferries did not run on a sunday is because the church goers
refused to allow it.
And they are in the majority, and that's how democracy works. or not in this case.................
