Crystal clear water for the Pencester pigeon fancier.

Saw an actual fish in the river along Barton Path at the weekend.
What’s happening with the repair of the railings? Nothing has happened for weeks.

I second that fish sighting, a lonesome brown trout around 6pm this evening. Also a grey wagtail. No threat to the trout, I may add.

Saw the wagtail too. And a dead rat!

On Sunday morning I saw three brown trout in the river between Ladywell and Pencester. Definitely three and not a sly one, as they were different sizes.

The Barton Path / Beaconsfield railings have been finished and looks good.
Shame about the rest of Barton Path

Agree about the railings.
Shame that the bit of Barton Path beneath said railings may stay rust coloured for a long time (sad emoji).
I quite like Barton Path. How else would you improve it?

I meant the river, not really the path itself.
It is still an overgrown weed-ridden mess.
A lot of the edging stones are coming loose because they are being undermined by weeds. Someone does come along and replace them with new ones, but just leave the displaced slabs in the river!
Would also like to see something done with the old scrap yard. Surely the council / EA / whoever can force the owner into action?

may be a bit of waffle from Charlie might help. so would 2.8 billion quid to revamp the whole town.

An icon of American popular culture hits the town but has regrets the morning after:

Lovely up the river this morning. Elderflower on the bank, and water crowfoot in the... er... water.
