Barton path has been known by many names as you all know, usually for the wrong reasons. Things just got worse.
Same old thing on a Friday or a Saturday night the local arseholes walk along the path on their way to the town throwing their cans and bottles in the river but not last night.
sitting in the garden with neighbours the local scum decided to throw their empty bottles into my garden. broken glass everywhere and how no one was hit I don't know.
No point in ringing the police as we didn't have a description.
If it happens again the police will be carting me off for GBH.

You have a lovely tranquil back garden there Ian so its a shame that this kind of thing happens. It could certainly be dangerous as you say...you may have to issue tin hats to visitors! perhaps you should let the police know as it will at least be recorded as a crime or anti social behaviour or something. I will ask the same old tiresome question...is there any CCTV cameras there..?
Exactly PaulB. Ian - scum doesn't even begin to describe these thoughtless, selfish people.

As you know Ian, I've had a similar problem for about ten years. I am told that at last something will be done about it. I won't hold my breath though.

I'm really sorry to hear this, Ian. It's a very good thing that no one was hit.
It occurs to me that while hopeful MPs and their parties are electioneering like mad, this would be a good time to pose a question to our local ones - what will they and their party do, to ensure respect for others, and to eradicate anti-social behaviour?
You may want to consider lodging a complaint with the police, even though they may not find the perpetrators. It all helps to ensure potential problems are identified, and all actual ones recorded, as well as building local knowledge for them.
You should most certainly be able to sit in your garden in peace - and absolutely without risk of being injured by others.
Sensible ideas Maggie - nice one. Indeed - ask the candidates about it, and make sure Police are aware (as if they aren't!!!!!!!!!!)
What about your local PSCO - can you not get in touch with them and ask them to do some walk abouts on those inparticular evenings at least?

the police will just trot out figures showing that all is well and that a quick call to a dover number(that is actually in maidstone) and the seventh cavalry will be in like a shot.

surely chinese burns should be used on the culprits, otherwise they will not see the error of their ways.

the poor PSCOs just dont get the chance to follow up on things like that, when I was working away in Southend I saw at least 2 PSCO's every day within the store, popped in, and yes the PCSO's do pop in to see me in my store now, but are that over stretched, I am covered by the Tower Hamlets team or the guy that covers from the sea front all the way up the London Road.
I just feel sorry for them, but it doesnt help you Ian.. little buggers... and I know a crack shot... and he is very good with explosives as well..

Ah! shame to hear about this Ian, I love your lovely 'oasis' of a garden, it is so peaceful and therapeutic, glad to hear that no one got hit. You should report it Ian, at least then its logged just in case it happens again.
That is disgusting, Ian. I am so glad that no-one got hurt. You must be absolutely raging. You should report it, however, and keep a written record, in case it happens again. Have you thought about a very large water pistol?
Im sad to read what happened to u Ian, anti social behaviour is one of the things that annoys me the most about our country.
