john
i appreciate your reply, but the fact remains that seats are being taken away from the town and not replaced.
i have had an exchange of views with a council officer today.
he can only give a factual statement about the reasons for the seats being taken away, he would be out of a job fairly quickly if he gave his own views on the matter.
councillors are the ones that can give a truthful answer, if they choose, they are the decision makers.
just to give an example of the secrecy, the area in market square that is used by locals using a bus route, cruise
ship passengers waiting to get back to the ship and schoolchildren going to the museum has no cover whatsoever.
stagecoach buses say that the council promised to put a shelter there 2 years ago.

seems like the secret society of dover is winning.
every time a question is asked about the activities of the town council, the district council or dover port, there is a deafening silence.
come election time they will all be out, showing themselves as real people.

Howard, you know I will always try to find out anything if asked a question - I'm not shy of trying - for any one - maybe some say I'm very trying !!
I haven't posted on here for some time, purely because Jean and I have been on holiday (a cruise - out of Dover, naturally); the weeks leading up to it, I was up around 5am working virtually all day on the summer Dover Loyalty Scheme Newsletter, which is now, at last, with the printers.
If you want me to do anything, just ask - every one else does.

the missing benches is a matter for the council in general, i would contact you and other local councillors for
problems in priory, maxton and elms vale.

That's fair enough Howard, but I am a District Councillor too.
Have a good week.

you are in the ruling party sue, why do they refuse to put a shelter there?
it is embarrassing watching our visitors being treated like this,
