20:2013924I can confirm that different busses were used this weekend, one slight problem early on,the bus drivers had to ask the passengers for directions as they were from Swale and didn't know the area that well, was this Forum Power.

10:2314388I have had a lovely reply from Mr D'Eath at Southeastern Rail, and I am just trying to work out how to share it on this site - as soon as I do I will post it. I have to say I never objected to the engineering works - they need to be done. But the customer care sucked, and the reply, and the evidence above, seems to indicate a positive result and the promise of further action. A quick response from the company, too, to my email, and the prompt from Nigel Collor - than you Nigel!!

11:0114390High Speed Train Update
I have been advised by my contacts at southeastern that they will be starting a trial service of the new High Speed Trains in May. The trial will unfortunately for us only be between Ashford and St Pancras and will consist of 3 trains per hour during the peak service period. They will also be running a shuttle service between Ebbsfleet and St Pancras.

11:2414396The high speed trains have been checked out on every last yard of the Southeastern network and are accordingly authorised to run on same so could pop up anywhere unexpectedly as substitutions for classic stock. They have completed 35,000 miles of test running so far.

11:5414397Saw it yesterday coming round the Buckland loop. Nice piece of kit. I know it's a disabled thing but the doors do spoil the appearance.

14:4114401I had a look at Ashford the other day as I am thinking about being a Train Manager on one of the new trains, but that depends if they want me and me making the move from my Ticket office after 35 years. The doors are smaller and the disabled part is at the front with a disabled toilet.
If I get/want the job we will be released in May and the service starts in December 200
