21:5238196Sitting here with the old cuppa gave me this idea, the great British tradition. Does everyone drink it? I`ve never found a sole who doesn`t, though I suppose there must be some. Any favourite brands? This posting is PG rated.

22:0438204i am a coffee drinker but cannot handle it first thing in the morning, it has to be strong tea with 2 heaped sugars.
i once tried espresso in the morning, the fire brigade had to rescue me from the roof.
how our european cousins can drink that when they first wake up is beyond me, far too much of a shock to the system.

22:1338208I like Rosehip, Earl Grey (with lemon). PG tips with milk and no sugar and my favourite is Tanganda leaves, well-brewed in a teapot also with milk or lemon (if it's summer).
Lemon and ginger are also quite refreshing, have tried green tea and almost hurled after it!
Oh Boy!, That'll be the day.........

09:5438230I like all sorts of tea, earl grey being my fave. The only tea I don't like is green tea as (to me) it tastes like metal!

10:0338232Apart from green tea, which I couldn`t take to either, the worst one I tried was raspberry tea. I`ll stick to the conventional one`s I think, PG to Earl Grey.

10:1938235I have red-bush tea, ordinary tea and green tea available for any guests, though I rarely drink anything but coffee. However if I do drink tea these days, it is the green variety. I must say that the current advert for the different Twinings teas is inspiring me to try them.

10:5138238My wife and mother-in-law are non-tea drinkers, Colin. They can't bear it! Me, I love it - my favourite is Sainsbury's Red Label, but hot on the rails behind is Twinings English Breakfast tea, which I love.
A bit fuddy duddy, I know, but I much prefer leaf tea over tea bags. That said, I almost always use tea bags, just for the sake of convenience.
And, Green Tea - yes please! I got used to it in Japan where it is a national institution. Over there, Jeane, it tastes more of fish than metal!

14:1138251I first tried green tea in Singapore and never quite developed the taste for it! I have a box of five different types of Twinings teas to try. I used to drink the fruit teas but some of them naturally contain a lot of sugar so I rarely drink them now as I don't like anything very sweet. The only time I drink coffee is after a nice big dinner, coffee and those little dark chocolate and orange mints...mmm.
I have to say I am a great fan of the traditional afternoon tea and if I am up in London often pop into one of the big hotels around 3pm for a treat. Although with Claridges tea averaging at £37 per person (tea, sandwiches, scones and little cakes) it's an expensive treat for two!

19:1038274good one marek.
sheli
look at post 3, the reason you drink tea only early morning and late at night, might be the same as mine.
incidentally, any tea or coffee i drink has to be strong enough for the spoon to stand up on its own in the cup.

09:2038337Sainsbury's Red-Label for us in the morning, but quite weak, neither of us like strong tea at all.
In the afternoon I like Rooi Bos - Red Bush, no milk, but sweeteners, as in the morning.
I found a Tic-Toc Rooi Bos, which is lovely and very good for you too.

09:4638344I dont like tea at all and never drink it.
I drink coffee in the office and after a meal in a restaurant. It has to be real coffee though, not instant muck, with cream not milk, no sugar. These days real coffee is as easy and quick as instant with a decent 'pod' machine like my two Tassimo machines.

20:5938382Tea in the morning, M&S strong tea made very strong, with soya milk, ditto at night; but strong, blood-sucking, vampiric, mud-thick sludge-deep powerful, head-kicking espresso at all other times.
