01:1538417I enjoy my PG Tea, but it has to be reasonably strong, not like dishwater so tend not to drink it while in a cafe usually opt for a Cafe au Lait while out and about - I also enjoy Oolong tea, which I have to buy online as I haven't found a shop that just sells it on its own,. mmmmm Think I just make go and make one now LOL

16:2838441I have to have a cup of Breakfast Tea first thing in the morning or I'm good for nothing!
![](/assets/images/forums/emoticons/lol.gif)
I then have a second cup around mid afternoon (Earl Grey) which perks me up for the evening ahead

Love a strong cup of coffee mid morning and a nice hot chocolate at bedtime.
Used to drink a lot more Tea when I was growing up in Ireland. Every Irish household has the kettle permanently on the boil and Tea Caddy at the ready and as Mrs Doyle would say, 'ah! ya will, ya will, ya will'

21:5538541Anytime of the day, mainly PG tips, but any good quality colourful one. I use a straw with this cup.
Tell them that I came, and no one answered.

Too expensive drinking tea out of this. The wife found another use for it this afternoon
Tell them that I came, and no one answered.
Well for me it has to be Twinings Assam tea (white, no sugar), drink loads of the stuff. For variety I occasionally take Whittards Orange Peko or Oolong tea; the latter without additives.
I like strong coffee and am partial to a Ristretto (espresso but with caffeine) or Ugandan coffee, the finest in the world. I do drink instant as long as it is either Nescafe Gold Blend or, for a bitter taste, Blend37.
BarryW's coffee is always excellent too.

i would go along with your choice of instants, just adding carte noir and marks and spencers fair trade.

I'd love a cuppa tay, but unfortunately I'm allergic to it, the last sip that passed my lips was in my 13th year which was a 'little' while ago, t'was PG Tips. Black Coffee unsweetened for me, my favourite being 'Blue Mountain' from the slopes of the Jamaican Hills

never heard of someone having a tea allergy before barry, maybe the tannin reacts against your blue blood?
sorry to say this but of a cup of "blue mountain" does seem out of place with your normal breakfast of smoked salmon and scrambled egss.

You may be right there Howard, I'd better consult my Royal Doctor
I breakfast on smoked salmon and scrambled eggs occasionally, but find it a bit too heavy first thing, I prefere Kedgeree myself

barrington
thanks for that insight into the life of the aristocracy, normally only channel 4 are so privileged.
out of interest is the kedgeree served from a hot plate on the welsh dresser by a white gloved flunky that normally irons your morning copy of the daily sport?
i hope that question is not too intrusive.
