God, it was cold out there! Interesting to see how it gets put together, and Colette, Jan and Linda all seemed to be getting on very well with Christine. Off to look at the Sky+ box now!

I can't get enthusiastic. I don't like the Belfast accent! Up with the barricades!

The rumour's true, David. Time to buy a scold's bridle perhaps?
I understand that Adrian Chiles is down at The Sea Sports Centre this morning to see Christine off. That beard has to go!

I couldn't go last night as I had a Planning Committee meeting starting at 6pm and I didn't get home till nearly 9pm.
I walked down to work, had a full day of meeting people and office/pc work, then straight off to planning; sadly I didn't have time to email out about it being definitely on last night.
No sign of the rain that was forecast, so hope she got away and was successful.

Yes she powered off at roughly 7.45 and right away they hit a fair speed which surprised me..so no hanging about. Clearly all calculated beforehand by experts knowing the appropriate rate of knots. A couple of boats..one towing her, one with backup crew. And the usual accompanying helicopter which is de riquer for all these things. Very grey morning but the weather is calm anyway. Last I saw she was blasting across the ocean at a fair old speed.
Will have some general pictures later.

Nice shot above there Scotchie - well done
Just to add another picture now, I think Barry W-S might have taken it, not of great quality as all the flash seemed to bounce back off the cards.. rendering the picture dark so had to force it exposure wise, but wanted just to get it up to add regular stalwarts Andy and Vic to the girls.
