I don`t know what all this was this morning. Quite a hive of activity. Is Vic there?

I did notice there earlier in the week a couple of senior ladies in swimwear below that facing wall. Couldn`t take a pic for obvious reasons.

What? No camera?
I went to the seafront yesterday with my Mother (over on a visit) and was treated to the woman selling us icecream in the refreshments van in that pic sneezing all over the place and then handing us our ice creams. And then the change she had kindly sneezed on. It was a bit of luck it was too sodding cold to eat the icecream!

It was packed down there this morning too. Lots of Germans around, they all came in the pub and made me work very hard!
Had I known that was going to happen, I would have had an extra hour in bed and ditched the power walk!
I know a million ways to always pick the wrong thing to say

Training for swimming the channel I believe.
It was great to see so many people using the seafront. As well as the swimmers who are there every weekend, there were at least 27 people out on dinghies. What a pity the place looks such a mess. At least today there are 10 people strolling about on the works (only 2 were actually doing anything when I was spying on them!). Can't see it all being finished by the summer proper - if we get one.

Tongue in cheek with it being finished in time Diana, though time will tell. I was down there lunchtime for a stroll, and a lorry was there delivering sections of footpath, (see picture). Quite a number of people about today, many Germans from the cruise ship in. I was in Mandys tearooms lunchtime, and she recieved a few of them, but several were asking where the tourist information place was, and also the nearest pharmacist`s. Maybe the pokey little barrow for tourist information, would be better publicised with some info on entry to the subway.

Took a walk along the seafront and pier this evening to watch the Costa Magica sail. I was very impressed with the quality of the materials they are using on the new promenade. I'm sure it's going to look very impressive when complete. I've always thought Dover promenade to be one of the finest, and this is certainly going to enhance its appeal.

Plenty of people out along the prom today, once that early chill had lifted. A few swimmers in the water as well.

I was in Sandwich that day Keith. Melissa, someone in the water waiting to put their 8 arms round you. Couldn`t get a free parking space down there today. It did look great down the front today with the crowds and 2 cruise liners in. What a difference a clear blue sky makes.

Taken the same day Keith. The beach looks cleaner at this angle, as does the sea. The tide was out though which always causes the sand to be stirred up giving a patchy colour to the sea.

Not rosey side Keith, I didn`t know it was actually rubbish etc pumped into it. Always assumed it was sand. You`ll have to enlighten me on this one mate, as its the first time I`ve heard about it.
