'binpersons' Howard - how painful to even read. Wating people...uurrrrrghhhhh
Pleaseeeeeeee no more convoluted and artificial politically correct language. Binmen will suffice and what about good old 'waiters', even if there are some ladies working the bins...it does not matter.

Well Howard, if anyone is so weak minded and pathetic to take offense at beinging called 'waiters' or 'binmen' then that is their problem and should not be pandered to.

Some years back I used to live and work in Jersey ( at a Chartered Accountants , not as a waiter or "binperson" ! ) Fantastic Island, great beaches etc.
In hindsight, coming back to the mainland was not a good decision. Could`ve married a nice young lady who`s parents owned their own stables etc., and were worth a few bob but decided against it. Where`s that crystal ball when you want it!
Marek, do I take it that you actually reside in Jersey , you lucky devil!

Yes I first worked here in the early 70,s whilst studying for my A levels. So kept my JY NI number my brother moved here '75 and now owns a successful Estate Agents..and my sister and her husband and family live here. Its really is great I wish I had stayed on the island when I first came over..

Marek, I`m mighty jealous! If it wasn`t for family committments, apart from the Caribbean, Jersey would be my No.1 place to live. Although I daresay that would be an impossibility now due to the stringent residency laws even if only wishing to rent a property.
Oh well, Dover will have to do for now, but it`s not quite the same!
