07:0910168I agree Barry.
Daniel Hannan is an intelligent, articulate man, who justifiably takes a salary - he's an elected member and obviously should; but he is not a party to the greed that pervades amongst so many other MEPS - sadly of all parties.
There is financial corruption on a grand scale there, whether on expenses, food production or whatever and as stated before, the accounts haven't been signed off for simply ages.
A number of whistleblowers have exposed (or tried to) the corruption there, only to be sacked, I think one had a suspicious ending.
Neil Kinnock was appointed to clear up the corruption, only to become the biggest grabber of them all - and his wife Glynnis.

12:2210194So Roger, can you confirm that you would stand yourself to work against the EU rather than represent the electorate. And would you take the money?
Could you also please clear up whether you are alledging corruption against the kninnocks or if it is just general mud slinging on your part.

19:2910232Respected by whom Sid ??
I am an elected member and represent the residents of my ward - where I live: Maxton, Elmsvale and Priory ward.
The European Union would be less frowned upon if it was less of a Gravy Train.
I wasn't accusing the Kinnocks of corruption, just milking the already ludicrous expenses system.
I'm not sure that I would promote coming out of the EU completely, but we are net contributors and I most certainly would argue against Federalism - I voted for a Common-Market, not Political Union.

11:1010307Maybe I should relinquish my titles to represent the common man, you can't beat a good beater unless you have a bigger stick

18:4510954I hear that the Tories dont want Den Dover to stand in the Euros, he got his hand stuck in the till you'll remember. I think he's still a MEP but has been kicked out of the Tory Party [his only crime as far as they are concerned I bet is getting caught]. Anyhow, they are planning to stand other candidates in his mould next year but are concerned that as they will all have the name Bend Over he'll confuse things.
