I'm not too sure it's related to COVID or Brexit.

Just found this on Twitter - "@ladyjagger - Reports in from workers inside the Port of Dover state that police are dealing with a medical matter as they try to help an individual from jumping from Jubliee way and this is why the Port is closed atm"
If true, if it means the police can save a life, I'm happy to have to put up with Dover gridlocked for a bit.

With the strong winds that have been forecast get ready for potential traffic problems in town yet again.

An authority can get away with pretty much anything by 'shouting "emergency"', as Baroness Randerson has it. Why, I'd bet a government could even house arrest a population, close businesses wholesale, and abrogate civil liberties if it really wanted to.

No it won't, Sue. A lone voice in the Lords will make sweet no difference whatsoever to a government which demands absolute devotion to the Brexit cause, regardless of cost. Why do you think the Commons committee has been disbanded by Rees-Mogg?
