When I check traffic conditions on Google maps, there doesn't seem to be much disruption at Calais.
Is this accurate, and if so, why?

In today's society it is surprising we are still having these problems

Just walked down the seafront and Kent Police have called upon so many of their areas, Rural Task Force is what it says on the police officer's car at Townwall / Woolcoomber Streets!
I know it was difficult in the early days of this week, but all the stops have been pulled out and they've had it nailed the last few days
I just hope that next time, and we all know there will be a next time, the funding is there and the same plans put in place

Returning tourist traffic won't really build up until the end of the Easter hols but even then I doubt there will be too many difficulties. Their freight systems have been in place for sometime now, unlike the ill-fated GVMS which was late in development and woefully under-tested.

Just driven home and discovered that Jubilee Way is closed to inbound traffic by bollards. No one there to send lorries back up the A2
This means all traffic including lorries is now going down castle hill. Traffic was backed up to the castle.
I see traffic management is working as usual…

Is there still a policeman at the Townwall St / Woolcomber St junction?
There was a lot of foreign lorries on the A256 between Eastry and Whitfield this morning. Presumably avoiding the M20 and M2.

I suspect that so many will be rostered on over the coming weekend that some sacrifices have had to be made. I'm not convinced that the police have the resources to address the problem for too long.
