I would just like to point out at that time,I wrote letters to some car makers, and went round to local car dealers asking if they could put in new cars a first aid kit+Fire +a fire extinguisher also went down to HALFORDS and asked if they could do some deal if they sold first aid kit with a fire extinguisher, but I am sorry to say nothing came of any of it. I do not wish to say anymore about the crash it was in the local papers at the time only to say it was very sad for all of us there, and in case,s like this you are always thinking could I have done more, was I right in what I done,it was some time before I got help but when they did get there they were very very good.
I remain yours faithfully Vic matcham

Agree entirely with you, Vic, and think the points you make are very worthwhile. For starters, everybody should carry a fire extinguisher and first aid kit, both for their own use and to be able to assist others. They are neither expensive nor do they take up much space.
As regards two door cars, I have always regarded them as potential deathtraps. It is difficult enough to clamber in and out of the back seat at the best of times. Much more so in the event of an accident. Also it is blindingly obvious that is far easier for the emergency services to remove a back door to extricate back seat passengers than to try to get them out from the front. Extraordinary that this has not received more attention, particularly with all the other design improvements in car safety over the years.

oh nooo is this thread still running...stifle a yawn..
Interestingly the ones supportive of Vic are all members of the other forum ..Bern , Chris, etc, so will have read all this stuff already, why the hell they want to read it all again on here is...well...
Re Chris second paragraph on posting 17.. its not relevant to Doverforum that both forums have different readerships. That point is only relevant to Vic...its not relevant to Doverforum. So its not an argument as to why we should run Vic's stuff.
Lets face it Vics threads are essentially always about one thing...himself. The more fussing over him the better, hence the need for 2 forums. The topic is always superflous. We've put up with rubbish...remember the DOVOR stuff, the King of River stuff, and countless others. Now we find it wasnt even ORIGINAL rubbish!!!
I see Ed tries to address a serious point there but its a waste of time..there is no credibility on these threads.
I am closing two threads this morning, this is one, because I myself cannot afford the time dealing with Vics fallout. Apologies to the guys trying to make a serious point.
