I was waiting for you to add to this one Barry, I put that one back to you,Do you real know that?you have seen what I have wrote and do not take one word back from it all.You of all should know when the blues are in power all the others blues chip in and put their cash there to. I am saying the same about the DDC they are blue but do not have any real blues behind them that will put cash into the town.

I could be wrong here but there are only two Conservative Councillors at DDC that represent areas of Dover Town.

So if I became rich or was born rich I would be a Tory Vic,no chance no chance, and I do use some of my money on Dover projects, but tend to seek no coverage on it.This thread is a load of rubbish,I know a bin man who is a Tory and some of the richest people I knew in Sandwich were Labour.
If you knew what I know,we would both be in trouble!

I think you must have a chip on your shoulder, from when you were helping the Conservatives about not having been with 'the in crowd'.
I expect that all the Dover parties have an inner clique, it usually means the people have known each other for a very long time.
You get the same with any group of people it has nothing to do with money. I feel I am 'on the outside' with this forum because I do not know any of you, but I will get to know the posters in the end, so will no longer be 'on the outside'. Then heaven help you all.

Paradoxically, the only people who can afford a Labour government are the ones who do not labour, i.e. the very rich and those on benefits. Work = Labour in the dictionary. What a joke.

I think that's slightly unfair some people,me included, vote Labour because we want to see a fair distribution of this countrys wealth (which is currently possessed by 5% of the population) and secondly we want to ensure that all children are afforded the same opportunities in education, health and employment. These should not be the rights of a privilege few but of the masses.
I am neither rich nor on benefits.(Ok I live in Jersey!!!)

I think therefore I am (not a Tory supporter)

1. Do you understand the difference between Conservative and conservative?
2. Why should anyone be expected, as you seem to expect, to put their own money into the town solely on the basis of their political affiliation?
3. Why should politicians who happen to have money rather than anyone else with money be expected to bail the town out?

Back in 2007 when you were a member of the Conservatives, were you a true Conservative? Did you put any of your money into Dover?

Stewart I only paid to be a member I only trying to support them because at that time I had afeeling they were going down the right path.No I was not a true Conservative.I still think with the right back up,they could still do it.
As for your last part I do not have cash to put into Dover, but take my word for it,if I did have it I would do so,because after I had died I would have left my mark on a town I love and lived in all my life and I would have used my cash working with the council of the day to do just that. Hope that is Ok for you, thank you for your post.

I would love to have enough money to give to DDC, my spare cash, pittance that it is, goes on things we need at the Age Concern shop.
I bet DDC would not like the restictions that would go with it though.

Long gone are the says of Adcock, Crundall, Dickeson and the crowd that put millions of their own money to build the town (and subsequently most of them becoming mayor).....
Been nice knowing you :)

What medication are you on Vic .Someone has already said you speak a lot of tosh .I cannot believe you have made that posting .
Gone are the days when people bought themselves a place at a political table .Those days are long since gone .
I dont have money own part of my house do you own yours???My two sons are directors in an engineering fom and I was going tp put this on another posting however my lovely Daughter after 23 years in the NHS has just landed a top job as a Director for a National Charity earning money i have only dreamnt of .
Not bad for a local Grammar school girl
If your posting is what you believe in your views not mine you should vote Labour .
The Conservative group on DDC has many wealthy people as you suggest and some very educated ones as well .
Get real .
