I must admit that I wasn't paying attention and I thought that Paul's 2241 had been guessed. It has me puzzled. Drawing a line from the Townwall Street edifice and what I take to be Maybrook House I end up at Priory Hill, but what is that roof?
On mine, I've obscured the plumber's name but I can tell you that it was also a bookies.

i think that terry's one will have to be solved by a life long resident, we don't even know how old the photo is.
my guess would be somewhere in tower hamlets.

If no-one gets it I'll put a "now" picture up on Monday. As Loyd Grossman used to say "The clues are there". You've been there Howard, and it's not the Hamlets.

That gate Vic was the site of the baker's shop where I lived from 1947 to 1958.
