that is what threw me terry, i took a picture from the back of netto's a while back that you got and mentioned a bakers being there.
in the pic that you posted you mentioned a plumbers and a bookies.

Terry sorry but the Bakers shop where you lived was right on the corner of the Two Sts,Both myself and Dad would use it,I think it had some steps to get in and out of the shop.We was not happy when it close down. The Dover Eng Works ended up taking the lot over houses and the pub and turned it in to their yard.
The shop front is Store 21 , I was in there this morning but whilst it was sunny I missed the rain thank goodness

Yes, it was on the corner Vic, 4 and 5 Peter St, corner of Branch St.
There was another bakers at the other end that had steps up, that was on the corner of Bridge St.
The bookies was Dane Bros. Where the doctor's car park is now was Sid Castle's scrap merchants.
