Sadly there is now approval to close the adjacent railway line. However I'm sure Richard et al will fight on.

#9610 Obviously Tram Road, Howard. I can remember with nostalgia the long haul the steam trains used to make up that line in my lost youth, including the Golden Arrow. The boat trains used to have engines in tandem, back and front, to help them up the steep gradient.
It's a shame that there wasn't much support for this old link to the Harbour Station, the cross town link was also one that perhaps merited more thought....and a lot of money!

I was about to say "correct Brian" but Ian has sewn the seeds of doubt in my mind so will have to go back and check.
Who does this building play host to?

To be more accurate, assuming I'm correct, the Alamo office is to the right (west) of the photographer, hired scar there last wek whilst visiting Dovef for a funeral.
Trying to think of the pub that was right behind the photgraher?

You must be thinking about the "Flagship" Ian, I was standing to the right of it when taking the photo.
It changed into a convenience store a few years back that says it is open all hours but I have never seen it open yet.

Just had a brain storm!
The pub was the 'York House'?
I'm asking myself, "why do I know all the pubs, and not the churches?"
Ah, happy days!
Ah, Howard, yes but I'm going further back!
God I feel old, better get back on the gin & tonic!
