15:5240887Colin Yes I know about them,I think they need more room but seem to be happy now the sun is out.But more grass would help I think but they look well looked after.
I have been out to the bay today and they were very happy to see me at last it has been five weeks from the last time I was out there, still alot of mud about so I had to be very carefull with my knee, but did not fall over. They came up to me and was pushing my arm just grea
I will get over to the other side soon to see the new herd.

16:1541580Went out to them again on Saturday they must know my car they came running across to me ,like always pushing me around trying to get in my bag I have a great time with them,I have to wait till they have eaten all the food I have put down for them or the big one will stop the other two from eating. But I do miss my old dog she would come with me and just sit there till I had fed them.

how lucky we are to have such beautiful creatures so close to town.
i believe that canterbury city council have some and put them out on some good grazing land.

some good news, just seen on a local news programme 9 of the konik horses have been released on the hills behind me.
apparently the wildwood trust feel that they will settle in very well there.
no doubt vic and bob will be posting pics of them on here soon.

that is right paul.
the filming showed them running down hill towards the clarendon area, looked they were really enjoying themselves too.
there was a lot of talk a few years back about the dexter cattle, never saw them around here.
i just hope that they do not stuff themselves with victor's sandwiches, they looked superbly fit as they were.

two seperate reports i heard today from people that walk the heights, both said that they had settled in really well, not nervous of people walking past either.
all we need now is for dog walkers to keep their charge under control when near them.

The plans for Dexters was messed up with the Foot and Mouth outbreak in the early 2000s and also the farmer passed away.
