A couple of weeks ago I saw a young fox walk happily past my window as I looked out to see what the weather was like at 6.30 in the morning, it did not see me even though it was only about two or three feet away from me right up against the house.
We usually see them in the back garden when it is dark not in broad daylight just taking a stroll in the middle of town.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

Kieth, The foxes you saw may well be the family that live at the top of my garden in Westbury Crescent. We see/hear them every night and a young dogfox is getting very bold, he often looks in at us through the windows! Found these photos on file from last year, captions anyone? Enjoy!
