Um, one could argue that, by advocating remain, the Lib Dems are contemptuous of the majority of the EU Referendum electorate who expressed their preference to leave.

So, all of a sudden it becomes obvious Boris has no intention of leaving on 31 October. I knew he wouldn't.

It's clear he's trying to wind the EU up into not giving us anything, while at the same time provoking Parliament to ensure it blocks no deal. That leads to the GE that he is looking for, and an inevitable delay.

That in no way proves "Boris has no intention of leaving on 31 October".
If he does call a General Election and gets in with sufficient majority he can get his no deal.

Sitting in Black Douglas coffee house Deal.
Table to left ranting about something reported in Guardian the Trump has said.
Table to right ranting about something reported in the Guardian that Boris has said.
Delicious!

And much more fun than visiting whining northerners who find their new build at Riverside Meadows is suffering from rising damp.

I am full of sympathy for those flooded out of their little terraced properties that were built years and years ago and those who never ever thought their homes were at risk.

The only reason Boris is PM is because at the last election the contest was mainly about Brexit and Labour, with leftist Corbyn as their leader, failed to adequately oppose him. How long Boris will last who knows.

Jan, on that I think we agree
He doesn't look good when questioned
And there are differing camps getting ready to move him on
I think on the other side it's up to national Labour to decide which direction it goes next
Getting involved in grass roots is important to build upon.
They can't blame Brexit next time round
Thus my fear
They will plod along to next election and expect everyone to vote against govt, and instead vote for them
There 25 years off that happening

I like what Labour is doing at the moment - giving the PM and his hopeless Cabinet enough time and space to mess everything up.
From a Labour perspective, it seems problematic to me that they'll parachute somebody in to fight the next election when they've finished the internal pfaff, and that individual will have only a few months to build their identity and reputation. I'd like to see someone in place long in advance who can start challenging from the local perspective.
