Judging by the name of his house, Mr Flowers has a sense of humour!

On a turnout of 12%, the Reform Party candidate is elected.

36.47% to be precise. The WGSometer also calculates that the 'winning' candidate secured the backing of just 4.39% of the electorate, which means that 95.61% did not support that candidate.

Also, maybe its not such a good idea to give your place a French name and then declare yourself a 'Patriotic Dovorian'.
Not quite nul points, but 1.13% is close enough, sans doute.

Looks like the Labour candidates are not brave enough to stand and the voters were not fooled by the Independents.

Bigger story here
The winning candidate was reform but day before election national reform took him off as there candidate so he became Indy overnight to late to change ballot paper .
Interesting the reform Dover chairman attended the count after invite from excluded reform candidate so can only presume they support he Indy still going against there own party
On Labour the made a tactical move, they have expelled M Woods nationally and so locally couldn't be seen supporting her .
Instead they didn't stand a candidate hoping M Woods could get in the back door
As she's a great supporter of p brivio and local Labour .
It backfired as M Woods struggled to get 30 people to support her

Just shows how unpopular Labour, should that be Rachel Reeves, policies are at the moment.

Yes they did just not with an official named candidate, you can fool the people etc.

OK, so turnout wasn't great - although, having said that, some 340 souls did brave the weather to express their preference.
Anyhow consider this: there are millions of ladies in the UK and surely a goodly number wish to keep young and beautiful. And yet, according to a TV advert I saw this evening, L'oreal only got 75 of them to try some lotion or potion of theirs - and of them only 72% thought it worked! Now that's what I call underwhelming.

L'Oreal need to tap some politicals to raise their profile.
After all, it worked with disposable nappies.

Looks like the local reform party has a decision to make on its continued support for the winning candidate who the national reform party removed support for
