UKIP, Greens, Lib Dems, shown to be small protest parties.
So I hope Stacy will urge the party to go now for an all members shortlist, to enable the best candidate to be ready to take on Charlie.

Seriously?
Surely the best candidate is the one they currently have or do you think your puppet master would do a better job?

Whatever direction they take they need to do it fairly quickly to make sure they don't get caught out again.

Is this a non-topic? I mean, the Labour Party will select its candidate according to its own internal party rules, in the same way the Conservatives, the Liberal Democrats and any other party will do. There's nothing much anyone can do about that, unless you're a party member.

whoever you are (post 26)
you are correct the local concern is whilst the smaller parties have no chance in a said election where as labour might.
And hopefully will be selected by the members rather than a CV

Who me? Why I'm Weird Granny Slater, of course. I refer you to the thread entitled 'Use your real name please', currently on page 31 of the Dover Forum. And also to The Bishop, TheThinWhiteDuke, Captain Haddock, etc.
And no, I'm not a spy (but I wouldn't tell you if I were. Boom! Boom!).

I have some sympathy with you here speaking as a fellow pseudonym. When I posted under my real name of R. Slicker I was subjected to horrendous abuse and I still cry myself to sleep over it.
