Europol smashes football fixing ring. Europol said 425 referees, players and officials are involved with match fixing so
that major sums of money could be made through betting.
Footballers are very well paid...some on £ 275,000 per week....per week...and probably avoiding paying tax to boot........
why do they need to increase their income.illegally ? elite greedy pigs.......

Investigators expose global soccer fixing scam
(Reuters) - Hundreds of soccer matches have been fixed in a global betting scam run from Singapore, police said on Monday, in
a blow to the image of the world's most popular sport and a multi-billion dollar industry.
About 680 suspicious matches including qualifying games for the World Cup and European Championships, and the
Champions League for top European club sides, have been identified in an inquiry by European police forces, the European
anti-crime agency Europol, and national prosecutors.

So we get back to the start,
most people would agree the gap between rich and poor is widening,
if we feel this to be correct
how can we change it?

Do more? Learn the lessons of the past.
The best way to help the poor is through a prosperous economy. That means getting public spending, taxes and borrowing down to a sustainable level. That must be the priority. Only when the economy is working well can you 'help the poor' and then it must only be based on what is sustainable and based on increased national wealth not increased taxes and borrowing.

On the contrary, more left wing mythology.
Mrs T recognised that you have to create wealth before you can spend it.
Brown spent it and crossed his fingers that we could create it, while piling on more and more of a burden that weighed down the wealth creators.
That, in a nutshell, is it.
