Dave and Clegg have actually opened up a campaign against cronyism, underlining the fact that an elite circle of boardroom executives are sitting on each others boards and jointly deciding each others pay rises, the golden hallo, golden bonuses, golden handshakes and golden bailouts, even for those who have dismally failed.
Now that the stench has been exposed publicly, there is no way the Government will avoid following it up with harsh results. These, in fact, will come on like a snowball, because the public outcry would be unbearable if it all went on as before.
It has really nothing to do with envy or jelousy, but would certainly impact election results.
Ed millyband must be knocking his own head for not having come up with such a campaign in the 17 months he's been in the opposition leadership, and I dare say the other opposition parties have totally missed the point by not taking up the challenge against the elite capitalist carpet baggers.
The Coalition is careful to point out that Dave and Clegg are in this together, with George Osborne and Uncle Vince respectively, so it looks like we're in for a strong and compact Government this year, one that is seeaking common support among the masses.
It's a shame that UKIP leaders (chairmen, multiple councillors etc.) just sat down and dosed off all this time, and didn't let members get their word in on the defining of party policy.
Now the world is going after Cameron and Nick Clegg, and yes, providing they are sincere and keep up the good work, and continue challenging the rotten planks in our society, I fully support them.

oh blimey alexander has gone from ukip to tory to lib dem and now back to tory,
so hard to follow lol
on the issue in hand barryw's dave is right about executive pay and alex is correct ref employers sitting on each othersboards to ensure they get richer.
even if it is left to shareholders there is no gaurentee this will solve the problem
far stronger solutions are required if barryw's dave is serious on this one
or is he???

Good post Alex. Like what you are saying there. We have to applaud Cameron for some movement on this, his own voters in middle England are shocked at the differentials. Also more on this topic on the Living Wage thread.

I think the outcome will be how cameron deals with it.
is, like always this just a huff and puff?
lets hope i'm wrong and i will be the first to applaud him.
but we do need to see substanse in how mr cameron plans to deal with his claims
leaving it to share holders won't solve it

I find it difficult to believe you would applaud David Cameron for anything he does Keith, except perhaps if he resigned.

You'd be the only one who'd turn up Brian, perhaps Keith, if you invite him. But, thankfully he isn't going to resign.

One of the many `Elite Fat Pigs`has admitted something about himself that all the others should.
Richard Desmond, the cotroversial owner of the Daily Express / Northern & Shell has stated in the High Court that......
....``Ethical ? I don`t know the meaning of the word``....

i can see outside the box
and if cameron doesn't do another of his u turns which is more likely i will applaud him.

Reg re post #110...yes Mr Desmond did indeed ask what the meaning of the word 'ethical' was...or more accurately, he asked what the questioning lawyers interpretation of the word was. The point he was making was that it can mean what people want it to mean. For example an 'ethical' foreign policy might still include selling arms to a dodgy regime, not unknown recently in the corridors of power here...so its all down to interpretation.

`Financiers`who bought `distress` Greek dept insist on making vast profits from crisis.
Financiers who caused the global financial crisis are now blocking the dept rescue of Greece.
Financiers who caused all the problems and needed bailing out by us are now reaping more blood money by demanding
a guaranteed`significant` payout to release their hedge funds.
They started the whole mess, get bailed out, then ask us to pay more.
They are not,to say the least helping, helping the world crisis..................discuss.
Not political or about Dover.

LOL -what world do you live in Reg.
Look at who these 'financiers' actually are and whose money they invest, these people who you hate so much. These are the people looking after your pension. It is your money, the money of everyone who has an annuity or some kind of pension income that is at stake here. Sovereign debt is meant to offer low returns for a low level of risk to underpin and protect the pensions people receive.
What you are complaining about here is the unwillingness of the 'financiers' to risk people's pension income on a government that is likely to default. You are also complaining about these 'financiers' seeking a return commensurate with that higher risk of default.
These people did not cause the global crisis either. The problem we have now is irresponsible high spending governments who have borrowed far too much and have failed to control their spending. Made worse by being locked into a currency so devaluation cannot be used to help them towards a solution.
If you want to post about such matters Reg then you need to make sure you understand what you are talking about. You have just made a complete fool of yourself

# 115........from articles in the Financial pages of the broad sheets...where people do know what they are talking about..
# 116....plus others................embarrassing in there narcissism and rudeness.
Other quotes from the Financial pages of the broad sheets ......where people do know what they are talking about.
Sir Melvyn King is becoming quite the radical. The Bank of England Governor used a hearing at the Treasury Select
Committee yesterday to fire yet another broadside at the banks and their addiction to six and seven figure bonuses.
It appears at Goldman Sachs that, when times get tough, they`ll keep the prime cuts.........legal/moral !!!
Another `elite`.....Super Rich Romney `Republican Candidate `admits paying only 15 % taxes.
Getting paid through a ashare of profits rather than a regular salary attracts a lower capital gains tax rate.

Reg: So you read stuff in the financial pages of broad sheets and assume they know what they are talking about and repeat it. No wonder you get this so badly wrong. I read a lot of these and often I am amazed at how ill-informed so many are, whether it is the Time, Telegraph or a tabloid like the Mail. Perhaps you read the Guardian where the facts are an inconvenience to a good story. It might be a good idea to publish links to the source information so it can be evaluated and you don't take the blame for saying silly things.
I must point out Reg that you are entering areas where I have professional knowledge and can speak with that knowledge.
As for being rude - no, I just told you what your best friend should tell you...
