Perhaps if a few people read it and get a bit of a grasp on what happens in debt meltdowns ( see also Manias, Panics and Crashes: A History of Financial Crises - Kindleberger) I won't have to put up with persistent whining about 'bailing out bankers' and 'years of unnecessary austerity'

I think the Chancellor knows that more money has to go into the Universal Credit bin as it is a vote loser in key marginals.
