As I said, "no surprises", isn't that exactly what we hear after every mid term election and it is always supposed to be a 'surprise'.
Politics, it seems to me, for years, or all too long, has been concerned with right or left instead of right or wrong.

chris p
so the alternative is???????????
i recall when your party started it was going to change the world, but the leader saw bigger lights and soon ditched your party for the condervatives, manynmhas stood for themn or even become cllrs for them since.
i always tried to believe the alliance party locally that it was independent, but sadly it showed it wasnt.
true independents would be a good thing, but sadly rarely happens.

Following the Tories collapse in the Local Elections Cameron has been forced to rethink key parts of the Queen`s
speech .Cameron has said he will not veer to the right or left and will stick with Plan `A`.
The tory right wing have other ideas for him to consider which might take his mind off the Leveson inquiry in the next few days.
It would be wise to have a clear head when answering questions by Robert Jay QC.

# 45.Have met a few professionally and privately and have admired their intelligence and clear thinking brains.
Their grasp of the case is razor sharp....Robert Jay QC is the best I have witnessed and as Howard says Cameron,Coulson
and Brookes may not answer his questions but the ``jury``..us.. will be in no doubt what the answer should have been.
Needs to be seen.

It's far from a free country Brian , but on the local elections .
There is no doubt that in London , and a couple of councils they did well .
A little bit of honesty and you know across the heartlands , hull, Hartlepool they had a disaster day
Now they also the leader being investigated where he could well have backed himself in a corner , having said the conservative leader and Chancellor should resign over party gate, Beer gate is now being investigated by the police and his own MP locally .although of right wing credentials, has said maybe it's time for the labour leader to resign .
It's also about timing as the police don't look on this , raising it after the local elections .
It does look like double standards to a lot of people and if the police do have new evidence as is being suggested and found guilty then how can he stay .

It has been a devastating set of results for the Tories, but remember, it's not really about Tory v Labour at this point; it's Tory v Tory. As a Labour supporter, I am very happy to let the Tories think that everything is ok under Johnson - you carry on!

I don't think I've been keeping up with all of this.
I thought currygate was the old picture and beergate was a newer incident?
What on earth would it be if he had been teetotal?
Watergate?
