I think Kent will be the power house of UKIP and we will see their HQ moving down here if they get MPS, the public of Kent give alot of support to UKIP.

UKIP will get more EU seats than any other UK PARTY and that will be a wake up call to the reds yellow and blue partys that the public of the UK wants out now not years ahead now. If the main UK partys do not act on what the public are telling them they are in for a very big downfall in 2015,Even I might get in this time at the age of 71

As close as I will get to a political comment.

I should add that fruitcakes in other political parties are also available.

Could it be that where Brian leads others are sure to follow?
I, for one, have noticed Brian's push to give the 'Mirror' titles more coverage, and he is not alone in that...
Daily Mirror embraces white space as part of rebranding campaign
Red top leaves two pages of Saturday's edition mostly blank and challenges rivals with the claim, 'We are the intelligent tabloid'
"Saturday's Daily Mirror appears with pages two and three almost entirely blank as part of a rebranding campaign in which its editor-in-chief throws down the gauntlet to the newspaper's red top rivals, declaring: "We are the intelligent tabloid."
In an unusual move accompanying a strategy to boost the Mirror titles' credentials as a more serious read to the Sun and other tabloids, page two of the newspaper is published with just a side column containing the crossword, weather and some other elements while page three contains just a twitter hashtag for the promotional campaign, #Madeuthink.
Readers who make it to page six encounter another page devoted to the campaign, with a message asking them, "Did you notice the blank pages?" and making the point: "Something that isn't there can be as thought provoking as something that is."
By page 10, things become a little clearer in a message from the editor-in-chief, Lloyd Embly, who informs readers: "We understand what makes the Mirror different..."

The coming campaign against UKIP may be based on the colour of their candidates' face.
If the predominant number of UKIP candidates have a white complexion, this may lead to catcalls of "racism".
Beware if you see a UKIP brochure coming through the letterbox with a white face.
I can understand why Godfrey Bloom was offended when he was confronted with the white faces remark.

I've said it before, the main parties have too much of a vested interest in keeping their tickets for the gravy train to allow any other party to get a look in. As soon as UKIP begin to look as if they may be a threat to the status quo, as I think they might have done, they will be ridiculed and villified by the organs of the establishment.
For those who doubt my word, I have no political affiliations at all, but I am allowed to comment on what passes for politics and politicians in this country notwithstanding.

There is no way the Tories alone will make it into the next government, Barrie.
Expect Labour supporters to be hammering at UKIP.
They know that many Tory supporters are considering going over to vote UKIP.
Those vilifying UKIP are aware that Labour alone won't enter government either.
Ed Miniband's idea to give a few million Brits an apprentice wage by importing a few million people and their families, will alienate a few million Labour supporters.
Ed Milly's appearances are always hand-wringing pleas to allow unlimited immigration, and the Unions are waking up to what Labour really stands for.
Hopefully Milly will bring about the demise of Labour now and for ever more!

I am beginning to think that UKIP might be the victim of an infiltration campaign by people who don't support the cause but revel in the idea of being a PR disaster time-bomb in order to gain their quarter of an hour of fame.

I agree with you Alex, but the fact that they might not get in won't stop them trying to prevent anyone else doing so.
The three leaders at the moment would be a joke if things weren't so serious. We appear to be in a position where most, if not all our legislation is set by europe, and the three parties with the most votes spend their days sniping at eachother like rival gangs of schoolchildren instead of working together to get us out of this economic mess we're in. An alternative party would be welcomed by quite a large percentage of the population, not enough to get in power, but the potential would there for the future which is why the establishment has to put a stop to them.
The BNP, agree with them or not, started to make quite serious inroads into the other partys' figures, so were smeared and ridiculed by the bbc and newspapers alike, and I feel this is what UKIP is starting to face.

the campaign against ukip shows the paucity of ideas from the main parties who have nothing new to offer the electorate.

why this obsession by the bigger parties though reg?
just by way of example i'll offer a footballing analogy, it is like the premiership giants manure, chelsea, west ham etc rubbishing minnows like morecambe, stalybridge celtic and tottenham.

I think its a genuine fear. After the way politicians have shown themselves to be corrupt liars, they realise that the voters don't really want them any more and a viable alternative could mess up their nice comfy lives. The football analogy only works in as far as the lower teams are so far away, but if one were to get promoted every season and in the premiership soon, then the analogy would fit much better. If Man Ure had for example slagged off Swansea a few years ago...

I always consider myself as a floating voter with no allegiance to any party. I very seldom post on political topics but I have to say UKIP do nothing and say nothing at all that would get me to vote for them and what they do and say is always done by one man who comes across as no more than a joke..

I read that UKIP has now 'proscribed' Hope-Not-Hate, the anti racism pressure group, they say that this means that nobody can be a member of both UKIP and HnH.

not really surprised the second organisation should have its name transposed.
