Doesn't look like Cruella will survive the knives being sharpened for her and Boris Johnson is favourite with David Davis and Ruth Davidson closely following.

Of course, they might rally around her, get her to do BREXIT then make her carry the can for it in a 2019 leadership challenge. November 2019 GE anyone? Brenda, thoughts?

They'll wait until she has handed out the goodies [salaried positions] to the serfs before deciding. Might also think about their majorities.

Paul. Using your inside knowledge, has Charlie considered and been approached by the 1922 committee for Charlie to throw his blue helmet into the ring for nomination has Leader/PM?
If a lowly backbencher and sometime rebel can become Leader of the Labour Party, it may work for Charlie?

She will probably start the Brexit, but she can't survive long.
Worst campaign for some time
mixed messages
unpopular changes of opinion mid election
No one expected that result.
To go in with the DUP just adding to her problems.
Like has been said infighting already started.
It's all going to end in tears

I thought it was only MPs that voted for the Tory leadership meaning Charlie has no chance.

Peter , Charlie was initially a member of 22 committee when elected.
He has served time on Public Administration committee & Public Accounts committee prior to dissolution .
He was also Theresa May's whip at the Home Office under David Cameron/George Osborne.
Moving along within the system.

They do seem to have an image problem that needs addressing.

The Tory’s have not adapted to the biggest problems
The Tory’s have not even recognised the 2 biggest drivers of labour success, and that is millions of people are suffering from expensive accommodation and low wages.
Housing has become an industry of wealth for the few at the expense of the many, its ripping cash from voter’s hands and the greater economy.
The second problem is low wages at the bottom, fuelled by masses of cheap imported workers, and parasite employment agency’s manipulating the working class labour market.
Labour will fully exploit this into number 10, ,And the Tory’s rolling towards a soft exit will lose them their core voters,,, it’s a perfect storm.

Gove coming back and Hunt not being moved shows just how powerless she is. It has to be a matter of time; the tent is only so big and cannot fit everyone....

I think the Torys may give in to the IN campaign MPs, and end up blowing it with the 43% core, voters that handed them the election.

You could be right Keith, but what puzzles me is why they don't invite the SNP to form a coalition with them and get a new leader at the same time! Nicola Sturgeon? Now that would really prove that they have seriously lost the plot................or not!

Charlie will be chewing over who best to align with over the leadership. He was always onside with Dave on the modern wing of the party which means he will not be pleased if David Davis gets the job as him and Dave didn't see eye to eye.

Howard. Charlie should reflect on why his majority was slashed to 7,000.
Totally pointless for him to decide who to allign next on the Tory Titanic.
If a Labour Candidate Stacey Blair with 6 weeks of electoral experience can come second.
